Marc Turtletaub
Marc Turtletaub has been a producer for nine years through two production companies. In August 2004, Turtletaub founded Big Beach with Peter Saraf, to produce and finance independent films.
Since the company's founding, Turtletaub has served as a producer on all of the company's films including the Academy Award-winning LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. Recent releases include Sam Mendes' AWAY WE GO, starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski, Christine Jeffs' SUNSHINE CLEANING starring Amy Adams and Emily Blunt and John Crowley's IS ANYBODY THERE? starring Michael Caine. Turtletaub has also produced Liev Schrieber's EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED, adapted from the Jonathan Safran Foer novel and Ramin Bahrani's CHOP SHOP. Two of Big Beach's films will have their World Premieres at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010; Phillip Seymour Hoffman's directorial debut, JACK GOES BOATING, and a documentary called LUCKY by Jeffrey Blitz.
Prior to founding Big Beach, Turtletaub created Deep River Productions in 2000 with David Friendly. Deep River's films include LAWS OF ATTRACTION, starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore, and THE HONEYMOONERS, starring Cedric the Entertainer.
